My Mya at 3 Mos.

At a little over three months, Mya is starting to show more of her personality.

Mya still doesn't have a set schedule of when she naps, but I hope to start a better sleeping schedule once the girls start preschool again, and we are on a more structured routine.  That is, if she let's me.  Mya does show that if she doesn't like something, she will close her eyes, and cry at the top of her lungs, pound her fists, and kick her feet, like a tantrum.  Sometimes, it's hard not to smile, when I see her little legs thumping in protest.

Sleep at night is better, but again, it's hard to predict.  She usually has a long one lasting from midnight-1:30am to 5am-ish.  And sometimes, we just don't know what we'll get.  It can be as short as three hours, or as long as six hours, a few times, it was 8 hours!

Mya is also starting to notice the things around her, and enjoys when it others interact with her.  We can have some pretty good conversations with coos, smiles, and even some chuckles.  Sometimes, Layla can get a pretty good conversation with her when she is in a good mood.  One time, she was yelling at the girls as they were playing in the living room.  She can't wait to join in the fun.

Mya has also discovered her "fascinating" hands.  I say "fascinating", because sometimes she is holding them up to her face, very focused, and intense.  One time, she was in one of her crying fits, and all of a sudden she stopped.  I looked over, and saw that she was distracting herself with her own hand!

Bath time is better, but not great.  Mya doesn't mind being in the bath, but the crying starts when we wash her hair.  The crying continues when we pull her out, and try to lotion and dress her.  When she is fully dressed, and picked up, she finally stops, and she is ready to play.

Mya's skin has changed since her birth.  At first, it was baby soft, but now it's dry and rough all the time.  We put a humidifier in her room, we keep reapplying creams, coconut oil,  & lotions, and switched everything to unscented, but nothing seems to help.

Mya's hair continues to be very puffy, she reminds of a dandelion puff.  When I look back at her photos, she looks a lot like Adelyn.  And when her hair is wet, she looks like Layla.  Mya definitely is a blend of both Princess Layla and Princess Adelyn, and a true princess herself.

We love you!
