I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. I started this post a few weeks ago, half done, and now I have a big job of playing catch up.
The Lam nest is decked out in Christmas lights inside and out. This year Len added some new present lights to our existing collection of lights. If you are in the neighbourhood, please swing by to check out Len's work of art. Our camera doesn't take night pictures very well, so I can't post any clear pictures. Here's a teaser...
We did our annual photo with Santa at the end of November, we timed it so that we were the first in line, quick, and almost painless (except for Mya). The girls did really well, except for Mya, who was terrified of sitting on Santa's lap. Layla asked for a new bike, and Adelyn asked for a new stuffed kitty.

The older girls got to go to Disney on Ice this year. Len was pleasantly surprised that all his favourite princesses made an appearance.

This winter has been pretty dry and sunny, so Len put up the lights at the very beginning of December. Then after many days of nagging from the girls, the tree went up. Here are some pictures of the girls getting into the spirit.

And, Mya started walking! She started taking her first steps mid-November. Then she started walking/running with the ride-on in December very fast and well. And now, she's toddling around with confidence. With no hand-holding, she can take 10+ steps when she's determined and focused. Most of the time, she is still falling over a lot, but we definitely have a toddler in the house!

Len's work had their annual Christmas brunch that included a visit with Santa, cookie decorating, and this year, there was face/hand painting.

Then there were the Christmas concerts. The first one was at WSMP, where it was a concert, a pot-luck dinner, and a visit from Santa. (Yup, that's 3 visits with Santa already!) Adelyn did a great job singing with cousin, Kaden.

And then, there was Layla's concert. We originally got tickets to the matinee, but were lucky enough to trade for the evening show. And to top it off, we won VIP seating for participating in the PAC draw, woohoo! We got front row seats to the show!

| Vive le vent, vive le vent... |
The Lam nest has been bustling with lots of activities that kept me away from the world of blogging. We made lots of cookie dough, baked and iced coookies for the bake sale, and pot-luck dinner. The girls and I also made some heart-shaped crayons for the craft sale, and we prepared over 70 classmate gifts, and 6 teacher gifts. I also had a small hick-up with the personalized family calendars, but those are finally done and sent. This year we are also in a few more Secret Santa exchanges, but I am pleased that the shopping is all done.
And, we had our first December snowfall right before the last day of school. Although it's almost gone, here are some pictures to remind us of the fun.

And now time to sign off for more holiday festivities.
Hope your holidays are merry and bright!
