The Start of 2015

After Christmas, our family got sick.  In rolled the runny noses and hacking coughs, ugh . . .  Not the greatest way to start off 2015.  While on the mend, my not-so-baby Adelyn lost her first tooth.  Yay!  It took a few days to work up some courage to pull it out, and it wasn't until the second night the tooth finally came out.

The Last of 2014

The last few weeks of December went by really quickly.  We saw a school Christmas concert, went to many birthday parties, went to Christmas parties, and even hosted our own family party. Here are the some highlights of those events up until the big count down.

For the school Christmas Craft Fair, the girls made bird feeders to sell.

They had fun putting the seeds in cookie cutters, but cleaning up all the seed was a different story.

A Giggle to Remember . . .

This is just a snap shot of my morning with Mya today.  Maybe not so funny to you, but it brought laughs to me.

Mya looks so cute spreading her arms at the top of the stairs . . .

Stop!

No!

But, what the picture doesn't tell you, is that this is a stand off.  Mya has a poopy diaper, and it is VERY stinky.   Mya is blocking me from taking her upstairs to wash her bum-bum.

Someone decides to take a peek at one of her presents.  It looks like the holes are getting bigger, then she looks at me with excitement and says, "Look, SEE! D-Dora!"

And I debated about posting this part, but it really made me laugh.
It's a little gross . . .

I thought Mya was tickling my feet . . .  But, she wasn't.  She was picking at the bottom of my foot, and watching tv.

What are you doing ! ? !

I think she's telling me I need a pedicure . . .

Santa! And Santa Again!

The girls went to the annual Iris Brunch with Santa again.  They enjoyed a yummy brunch, did some cookie decorating, and met the man in red.

The cookie decorating went really well, meeting Santa was a different story.  Mya and Adelyn were very reluctant to meet the man himself.  Maybe next time, Santa.

Meeting Santa

On the way home, we let the girls hold onto their cookie creation, not knowing . . . that they were going to eat them!   Okay, only Mya.  She ate all her left over candy, and started on her cookie.

Mya is that your lunch ! ? !
On the ride home, the girls asked to meet Santa again, the one at Metrotropolis (the one we go to every year).  Since they were already dressed up, we agreed, and braced ourselves for the mall madness on a Sunday. The girls sneaked in a train ride, met Santa again, and even enjoyed some ice cream.

Choo-choo Train Ride

We didn't get any good shots with just the girls alone, especially with two out of the three being terrified, so a family picture it is.  Thanks Santa!

The post-Santa treat

Yum !
We can cross meeting Santa off the list. Check!
