A Giggle to Remember . . .

This is just a snap shot of my morning with Mya today.  Maybe not so funny to you, but it brought laughs to me.

Mya looks so cute spreading her arms at the top of the stairs . . .

Stop!

No!

But, what the picture doesn't tell you, is that this is a stand off.  Mya has a poopy diaper, and it is VERY stinky.   Mya is blocking me from taking her upstairs to wash her bum-bum.

Someone decides to take a peek at one of her presents.  It looks like the holes are getting bigger, then she looks at me with excitement and says, "Look, SEE! D-Dora!"

And I debated about posting this part, but it really made me laugh.
It's a little gross . . .

I thought Mya was tickling my feet . . .  But, she wasn't.  She was picking at the bottom of my foot, and watching tv.

What are you doing ! ? !

I think she's telling me I need a pedicure . . .

Santa! And Santa Again!

The girls went to the annual Iris Brunch with Santa again.  They enjoyed a yummy brunch, did some cookie decorating, and met the man in red.

Wooo . . . what's dis?
More candy ends up in Mya's tummy, than on the cookie

The cookie decorating went really well, meeting Santa was a different story.  Mya and Adelyn were very reluctant to meet the man himself.  Maybe next time, Santa.

Meeting Santa

On the way home, we let the girls hold onto their cookie creation, not knowing . . . that they were going to eat them!   Okay, only Mya.  She ate all her left over candy, and started on her cookie.

Mya is that your lunch ! ? !
On the ride home, the girls asked to meet Santa again, the one at Metrotropolis (the one we go to every year).  Since they were already dressed up, we agreed, and braced ourselves for the mall madness on a Sunday. The girls sneaked in a train ride, met Santa again, and even enjoyed some ice cream.

Choo-choo Train Ride

Mya as an elf

We didn't get any good shots with just the girls alone, especially with two out of the three being terrified, so a family picture it is.  Thanks Santa!

The post-Santa treat

Yum !
We can cross meeting Santa off the list. Check!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Can you feel the Christmas spirit creeping into your home?  The girls have been asking to put up the tree and decorations for weeks now, and we kept putting it off, well, it finally happened.

The Christmas magic started with snow.  We woke up to a very frosty and cold Saturday morning.  With everything under a white blanket of snow, the girls couldn't wait to dive into the fun.  Last year, Mya was not a big a fan of snow.  This year, she watched her sisters playing in it, and realized it was pretty fun after all.

Snow isn't so bad

Time for hot chocolate and cookies!

Len finished hanging up our lights. And the tree decorating started, the girls are pretty good at spreading out the decorations on the tree.  The only drooping branch was the one Mya piled her decorations on.

Then we took some holiday pictures as we got into the spirit.

Calm . . . then . . .

Deen-Oh-Saurrrrrrrrrrrrr ! ! !

We look forward to a fun and festive holiday season.  Next stop . . . Santa.

Seaside

Over the long weekend, we celebrated Uncle Brian's birthday.

Happy Burd-Day, Kow Foo

Finished her cake, and more!

Then we took a small trip to Seaside for two nights.  It was a long road trip down. We broke it up with a stop at the Pike Market in Seattle, and an outlet stop before heading into Seaside.

Admiring the Gummy Pig at the Market
We liked the name, Three Girls Bakery

Checking out Beecher's cheese factory, and picked up some lunch
a HUGE Honest cheese biscuit
We enjoyed dinner at the Twisted Fish, and hung out at the back of the hotel before settling in.

The next morning, we played on the beach and went to the Seaside Aquarium.  The seals were the highlight of the trip, they were hilarious. Len had so much fun feeding them.  They went crazy slapping and clapping for his attention.

The next morning, my camera died.  After breakfast, we went to visit the beach one last time, before heading home.  We stopped briefly along the way, and ended home around 9 pm.  Despite the long trek, the girls said, "We want to go back!"
